A congressman's teenage son stole the show at his father’s swearing-in by “dabbing” during a photo call.
Dabbing: the moment the teenager performed the stunt
Cal Marshall, 17, son of Roger Marshall, pulled the viral dance move popularised by athletes and rappers last night — flummoxing Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan.
Video footage shows the teenager determinedly doing the dab despite Mr Ryan’s attempts to dissuade him. “You all right?” he asks the teenager.
“I’m all right,” Cal replies, mid-move.
The Kansas congressman later tweeted: “Just so you know @SpeakerRyan: He’s grounded.”

“Do you want – can you put your hand down?” persists Mr Ryan. When the teen eventually stops, Mr Ryan asks: “Were you going to sneeze? Is that it?” Cal answers: “Yeah,” and his father tells the photographers “He’s sneezing!” .@jonward11 Here's the clip. http://pic.twitter.com/XsM1EqXaNk— Jeremy Art (@cspanJeremy) January 3, 2017
